Livelihoods

Agriculture is still the most important activity in the municipality. Today, most people of Dalaguete are still dependent on agriculture for livelihood, particularly vegetable farming and raising of coconuts. There are also production of other crops, like corn, root crops, fruits and other products.

The cottage industry can be mainly seen in the barangays of Balud where they are famous for their blanket "hinablon" and mat weaving, Casay where the production of woven baskets are mainly their source of income.

Dalaguete is famous for its delicious and tasty rice cake "bibingka" and "torta".

The town is also endowed with mineral resources like lime red stones, lime pink stones, wood stones, ice stones, coal, and phosphate.
